Happy New Year!

What a year it has been, right? Coming out of 2020 and 2021 was a big feat for most businesses. Let me just congratulate you for being here and choosing to show up despite everything!

Covid has dramatically changed how people live, learn, shop, work, and do business. I know you’ll agree with me when I say that competition online has become even greater now that most people switched to a “digital-first” lifestyle.

People are not just expecting you to have a website – but they want you to be visible WHENEVER THEY SEARCH FOR YOU ONLINE!

That is why SEO has become even more important to be included in your overall digital marketing strategy. According to a study, during the pandemic, online retail conversion rates increased by nearly 30%.

So today, I want to help you get the most out of Google search in 2022. I’m sharing a quick video on the…

5 SEO Must-Haves for eCommerce this 2022

1. Be omnipresent

Don’t just rely on 1 channel – remember what happened during the Facebook downtime? Be present on your most relevant channels: Google search (website), Google Business Profile, Social media (most relevant for you). Just 1 tip: Be sure to select the social media channel where your target audience can be found. Also, factor in if you can sustain the type of content that is native to that platform. For example, consider if you can consistently produce videos if you’re going for YouTube or TikTok.

2. Boost website speed

According to Google APAC: 64% of all online retail traffic comes from mobile, conversion rates on mobile are only half that of desktop. Therefore, improving the user experience on your mobile site can help boost overall sales.

3. Build your Google Business Profile

And even when you don’t have a physical store address! After signing in and entering the Google My Business setup, go ahead and enter your business address. Don’t worry; the address will not be listed on the Google Maps listing. Select the “I deliver goods and services to my customers” option, and your business will have a listing without an address.

4. Maximize your mailing list

It’s never too late to build one. Your best-performing email content can be used across all channels: Product pages, blog posts, social media content, etc. Email marketing can boost interest and purchase intent during micro-moments.

5. Provide health information

Inform people about your safety protocols, i.e. How their items are handled in-store, and by your delivery guys, and offer cashless transactions, too – so they know what to expect. Health protection is important for all
